Cypress Living Announces Addition of Vice President, Home and Community Based Services

FORT MYERS, Fla. (September 19, 2022) Cypress Living announces the promotion of Christine Burns, Executive Director of Cypress at Home, to Vice President of Home and Community Based Services for Cypress Living. In her new role, Burns will have direct accountability and oversight for the overall leadership, direction, growth, and culture for Cypress at Home. Additionally, Burns will be responsible for establishing the strategic direction of management services for home and community services within Southwest Florida.

“Christine Burns is an authentic leader who has played a vital role in changing the way care is provided to adults here in Southwest Florida,” said CEO/President Troy Churchill. “Her focus on the development of a strong culture of empowered team members has helped to pave the way for continued growth and expansion in this sector.”

Burns has worked in the healthcare arena for 20 years, having served in various leadership positions. Prior to joining Cypress at Home, she served as the Director of Post-Acute Intake and Business Development at Lee Health. She was instrumentational in the cultural transformation and implementation of leader standard work throughout the care continuum.

Burns holds a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Bellevue University. She serves as an officer of the District XVI Florida Health Care Association and is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Christine is passionate about caring for individuals with special needs and served the first 13 years of her career working with them in Massachusetts. Locally, she volunteers coaching the special athletes cheerleading team, the “Angels” at Shine Athletics in Fort Myers.
